Happy National Poetry month - we're celebrating in our usual way at the library - with a poetry contest! This year, the format is Haiku. We mailed entry forms to most English teachers in Beaverton, and you can also download entry forms from our website. We’d love to read Haikus from your students.
Entering the contest is easy:
- Students in grades 6-12 can enter up to 4 Haiku poems each.
- Poems must be accompanied by 1 completed entry form per student.
- Poems can be submitted April 1st – April 30th.
- Students can submit work themselves, or you can send it as a batch.
To submit poems:
In person
- Drop off entries either at the Teen Desk on the 2nd floor of the
Beaverton City Library, or at Beaverton City Library at Murray Scholls.
