I had some great questions from a teacher whose class is submitting stories for the 55 Fiction contest this morning, and I thought you all might be interested in hearing her questions & the answers, so here goes:
- Do the words in the title count toward the 55 word total?
- Do hyphenated words count as 1 or 2 words?
- They count as 1 (but the judges will notice if hyphens are used so frequently that it takes away from the story as a whole).
