Teen Booklists for Halloween

Horror Fiction - http://beavertonlibrary.org/index.aspx?nid=239

Frightening reads to keep you up at night! Some of the covers of these books even scare me - check out The House of Dead Maids by Clare Dunkle and The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff!

Books of the Living Dead (Zombies) - http://beavertonlibrary.org/index.aspx?nid=262

Zombies have been around in American popular culture for decades, but they've enjoyed a resurgance with teens and adults thanks to  books/movies like World War Z and The Walking Dead series. From the jokey to the terrifying, there's a zombie story for any reading preference.

Dystopias - http://beavertonlibrary.org/index.aspx?nid=233

Nothing is more horrifying than reading about a not-so-distant future that is disturbingly close to our own. The Hunger Games may have helped bring it to the front, but there are other genre books before and after that are well worth reading.
