Chris Tobias gave a study skills presentation to teens and their families at the Beaverton library last month and it was very successful. Next week, he'll be giving a similar presentation geared towards teachers at the Tanasbourne Barnes & Noble. Here are the details in case you are interested in attending:
Teachers and educators are invited to join local Portland, Oregon author Chris Tobias on Tuesday evening April 17th as he discusses how whole brain learning techniques can help students study and improve exam scores. Chris’s book ‘101 Secrets to Passing Any Test’ is a complete ‘toolbox’ for students, educators and families needing help with school.

Practice SAT at the Beaverton City Library / Test & School Skills Seminar

Kaplan will be proctoring a FREE practice run of the SAT for students here at the Beaverton City Library on Saturday, March 3rd, 11:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Meeting Room B. Anyone wishing to take the test should register online at Kaplan's Web site -

Note that space is limited to 25 test takers.
Then, on Monday, March 12th, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m., local author Chris Tobias (101 Secrets to Passing Any Test) will be at the BCL to present a free test & school skills seminar for students in grades 6-12 and their parents!
