SummerWorks

Do you have students who would benefit from summer work experience? With the crunch for employment everywhere right now, it hardly seems possible. But it is.

Low-income youth between the ages of 16-24 may qualify to apply for the SummerWorks program, which uses stimulus money to provide meaningful work experiences in Washington County and Multnomah County. Students have the chance experience the responsibilities and atmosphere of the workplace while gaining experience and building marketable (hire-able!) skills for the future. They will get down-and-dirty with their own career goals and discover what it takes to make it in the world... while earning their own paychecks all summer.

If you think this would open doors for a student (or students) you know, please help them get connected to this fantastic opportunity. Visit the SummerWorks website for more elegibility information, or call them at 503.478.7300.
