This month is National Poetry Month, and the BCL is once again encouraging your students to get creative with a new poetry contest and coffeehouse open mic! This year's selected form is the Limerick - a simple, humorous, five-line poem with an AABBA rhyme scheme!

Beaverton's own Ava Roasteria will once again be providing both regular and decaf coffee and pastries! Tea and juice will be available for the non-coffee drinkers. In the past, teachers have allowed their students to use this event to fulfill a public poetry reading requirement for class.
