Social Media, Technology, and Sex Ed

There's an interesting article on the front page of today's New York Times that gives an overview of the new frontier for sex education - text messages and interactive social media, including Facebook and Twitter:

Teens seek information using the media they're most comfortable with, and, as the article points out, this cuts down on the awkwardness of asking parents or health instructors. Text and chat library reference from services like L-Net (soon to be known as "Answerland") is also growing among teens. Don't forget WCCLs' own Teen Health and Wellness database, accessible from home and school via a library card!
