The final Percy Jackson book

This is a bit of cross-posting with our YA KNOW @ BCL for teens, but I wanted to bring it to your attention as well. The title and the publication date for the final Percy Jackson book have been announced. The Last Olympian hits shelves on Tuesday, May 5th. (Place a hold on it today!)

We all know that the monster Typhon was awakened (by Percy, albeit accidentally). But Typhon is doing more than stirring now, and as all the gods focus on containing this mythic monster, Percy and the other half-bloods must turn their attention to the plans of Kronos... who is advancing toward Mount Olympus. It's all coming to a head as Percy approaches his sixteenth birthday. Will he be the salvation or destruction of the gods?

Is anyone else as excited as I am to read this? I remember bringing along a copy of the newly minted Battle of the Labyrinth when visiting schools last May to promote about the teen summer reading program... and the students were crazy to get their hands on it! Be sure to mark it on your calendars. :)
