Listening to Latinas

"Forty-one percent of Latina students do not graduate with their class in four years—if they graduate at all." --National Women's Law Center, 2009.

The National Women's Law Center, in conjunction with the Mexican American Legal Defense & Educational Fund, recently released a report called Listening to Latinas: Barriers to High School Graduation. This qualitative research explores the challenges facing Latina students in the United States, particularly in regards to education, and presents specific recommendations about the support needed to help Latinas achieve their goals academically and personally.
