National Poetry Month (revisited)

Don't forget that this is the last week of National Poetry Month! The library's Limerick Contest (for middle schoolers and high schoolers) will wrap up at 5pm on Friday, April 30th, so please make sure that your classes' entries are in our hands by then. If you can't stop by the library, feel free to drop us a line and we will work out another way to hand off those fantastic poems.

It is also time for our annual Teen Poetry Coffeehouse! Students in grades 6-12 (and their teachers) are invited to join us on Wednesday, April 28, 6:00-7:00 p.m.. We will provide coffee, tea, scrumptious pastries, and the chance to engage with the spoken word. We hope that students will brave the microphone to read their favorite poem, whether it be ones they wrote themselves or the brilliant work of other poets! No registration necessary.
