National Book Award finalists

The finalists for the 2010 National Book Awards have been announced. In the Young People's Literature category, the following titles are up for the final award:

• Ship Breaker, by Paolo Bacigalupi
• Mockingbird, by Katherine Erskine
• Dark Water, by Laura McNeal
• Lockdown, by Walter Dean Myers
• One Crazy Summer, by Rita Williams-Garcia
