Two Art Contests

We have a couple of announcements for teachers of artistically-inclined students!

Our annual Teen Art Show for 2011 will be held in November this year. Mark your calendars!

Two art contests with generous prizes are starting now - continue reading for more information!

The Bookmark Contest sponsored by the Beaverton Library Foundation encourages teens to create bookmark designs using the theme "Reading and Literacy." Winning entries will each receive $100, and the bookmarks will be used to promote the Beaverton Library Foundation! The deadline for entries is Monday, February 28th. Download a PDF of the full guidelines and entry form here!

Returning this year is the Teen Summer Reading Artwork Contest, sponsored by Washington County Library Services! Teens can once again create an artwork design that will be used to promote summer reading throughout the county. This year's summer reading theme is "You Are Here;" designs must be based around it, but there is still plenty of creative leeway! The submission deadline also falls on Monday, February 28th. Full information and an entry form can be found on the WCCLS Web site!
