Beaverton City Library's Teen Summer Reading Program 2011

Happy spring / summer!

The Beaverton City Library’s Teen Summer Reading Program will be open for sign-ups starting on June 1st, 2011 again this year! The program is open to all teens entering grade 6 through just graduated from high school; entrants are encouraged to complete a total of fifteen hours of reading from June until August. Once the reading is finished, they bring their reading logs back to the library starting July 1st for a free book and a stack of coupons to area businesses. Teens can also review the books that they have read and enter their reviews in weekly drawings to win gift cards ranging from $5 - $15 in value! All reviews are also entered in our final grand prize drawing for $100!

Dawn (dborgardt@beavertonoregon.gov) and Ian (iduncanson@beavertonoregon.gov) would love to visit your schools and classes to quickly cover the details and incentives of the program and distribute information sheets. Please let us know, and we can schedule a class or library visit to address your students! We are very flexible on time. You can also contact us by phone at (503) 350-3610 (Ian), or 503-350-3651 (Dawn).

Thank you for helping us to promote literacy among teens in Beaverton!
