Nutritious (and inexpensive!)

In addition to being caregivers, many teens are responsible for food preparation (and purchase) in their homes... and the food budget is tight. Many of their homes are facing unemployment and underemployment. Providing nutritious, inexpensive meals is a genuine challenge.

OSU's Extension Service has created a wonderful resource called Healthy Recipes. This site provides plenty of healthful, economical recipes, as well as information about dietary guidelines, stretching your food budget, and where to apply for help getting food if you need it. This information is also available in Spanish.

What a great resource for the web-savvy caregivers in our community!
