Celebrate Teen Read Week at BCL

Did you know October 15th-20th is officially Teen Read Week at the library?  We're celebrating by ‘Reading & Releasing' some great YA books using an idea from www.BookCrossing.com
Here's how it works…
  1. Teens can come to the Teen Room at the Beaverton City Library or the Teen Space at Murray Scholls, pick up a book with the 'It Came From the Library / Book Crossing" sticker on the cover.  They can take the book anywhere they want!
  2. The idea is that they read the book and log it at www.BookCrossing.com.
  3. Then they 'Release it.' Basically, leave the book anywhere they think a reader will be looking for it, then the next reader picks it up and passes it along - you can track your book as it travels around the city/county/country/world!
These are NOT library books, they are books that belong to no one in particular and just want to be read as much as possible!
Visit the round table in the Teen Room and grab
any of the stickered books you see there.
